Anniversary of Military Department

December 8, 2011, the staff of the Military Department of the State university, "National Mining University." celebrated its 85 anniversary.

 On the occasion of the university held a solemn meeting.

The solemn meeting was attended by veterans of the department, representatives of regional, city, district authorities, six army corps commanders, regional and district military commissariats and other honorary guests.

Include measures were shown a movie about the history of the department, and bright individuals who have made outstanding contribution to its formation and development.

Today the Military department - it is well organized and coordinated military branch leading national university, "National Mining University." It has highly qualified teaching staff, modern educational and material resources and capable of high level to meet the challenges of preparing officers for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in accordance with current state requirements for military specialists with higher education.

An important contribution to the military-patriotic education of students does the university administration, faculties and university veterans.

On the occasion of scientific and teaching staff, the personnel department, students have received thanks and gifts from the rector of the University G. Pivnyak, Mayor of Dnipropetrovsk, chairman of the October district Council in Dnepropetrovsk, head of  Military department.

At the end of the solemn meeting before the meeting, made a number of amateur university teachers and students who study at the Military department.
