“Miners” dreams about stars on epaulettes

More than three hundred students at Military department of  Dnipropetrovsk`s National mining university, who study by the program training of reserve officers, take action in military assembly, that is spent on base of  93 Separate mechanized brigade.   

As recounted a head of Military department colonel Nikolai Kondratyuk, training program of reserve officers designed for 2 years. For military training involved students who study at 3-4 course of NMU and other universities in city. Number of students who study at military department depends on the state order.  As rule it from 2 for 4 platoons. Selection of students spends by results of exams. Also allow the middle mark from all last session.

– Now we have more than 20 special classes. Moreover at military department has modern training technology weapons, laboratory equipment, training complex, etc. For computer technology developed software, what can monitor student’s exercises of shooting from combat vehicles, testing students from study discipline – says a colonel Nikolai Kondratyuk.

Major portion of practical study from special and technical training spend at park of combat vehicles, where students advance their own skills in combat vehicle service and work off norm from reaming of tank and artillery repair depot.

In its turn general military discipline trained at tactical fields of Novomoskovsk general military training ground. So on brigade tank range future reserve officers did exercise practical driving a tank T-64 and combat vehicle of infantry ICV-2. Students showed good driving considering what did it for the first time.

–For carry out field studies we attract most experienced commanders and their assistants, who has not only great experience of training stuff, and also practical combat experience received in peacemaking operations – says brigade general colonel Vladimir Karpenko.

Afterward at general military shooting ground learning groups training assembly and disassembly firearms, outfit bullets clips and preparing to enter the firing line. Pass a normative with weapon training, each student perform a shooting from gun, submachine gun, machine gun and sniper rifle. In another study place future officers perform practical shooting from ICV-2 weapon and tank T-64BV.

One of those who that day shoots for “excellent” was a student of fourth course NMU Maxim Kotiy. According to a boy his father serves in this mechanized brigade as commander of anti-tank division so in shooting he like a son of serviceman can`t be confounded.

– To be honest regret that not going to military university – recognized a boy. –But not all lost. After obtaining a diploma of specialist necessarily subscribe a contract.

And he`s not one building such plans. Most students also aiming after graduation stay on officer service in military units and subdivisions ground forces of Ukrainian Armed Forces.
